Assistant Media Planner/ Buyer

We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Media Planner/ Buyer in our media group. TBC’s Assistant Planner position is an opportunity perfect for highly motivated recent graduates or planners early in their careers looking to learn about all facets of media planning and buying. Our ideal candidate is proactive, organized, analytical, resourceful, and able to manage his or her time well.

Assistant planner/ buyers are responsible for supporting the Agency’s media team members in the development of effective media plans, buys, and campaign reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Aiding in the development, implementation and monitoring of media plans and buys
  • Facilitating the gathering of media rate and research information required to develop media strategies
  • Managing campaign setup for digital campaigns, as well as providing ongoing campaign optimization
  • Assisting in the monitoring of campaign media results by monitoring campaign dashboards and aiding in compiling results data
  • Establishing a mastery of planning systems and tools
  • Assisting in the development of competitive analyses, including the gathering of competitive data and incorporating the data into comprehensive charts and presentations

Job requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably having taken relevant advertising or marketing communications classes; ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience in media planning or a related field
  • Interest in the media planning and buying aspect of advertising, with a related internship or job experience a plus
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to details, deadlines, budgets and timelines
  • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with members of media and client services teams
  • Computer proficiency, with a strong working knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Desire and ability to go above and beyond
